DEREK: consultant / salon owner

UK-trained with over 13 years experience in the industry, 9 of which were with an award-winning salon, Derek’s extensive experience allows him to consistently exceed clients’ expectations, and has led to his work being published photographically in British Hairdressing Journal and other UK and International magazines. Level IV Certification gives him the opportunity to fulfil a teaching role within the salon, a key aspect of the Miller and Green ideology and one which ensures a steady, structured development and diversification of all the team members in the salon. Derek’s passion and commitment are abundantly evident and combine to ensure his clients return time after time.

HAYLEE: consultant

Haylee is a valuable addition to the team at Miller & Green, bringing with her 5 years of extensive training as well as a naturally keen eye for detail. Her passion and enthusiasm for cutting and colouring are exemplified in her classic cuts executed with a contemporary edge, but her styling skills are equally in demand for long hair styling for weddings or formal occasions.

JUSTIN: designer

Having spent over 15 years in the hairdressing industry, Justin has considerable knowledge and experience dealing with all types of hair design and styling. He is particularly adept at creative cutting and colouring, and also has a thorough knowledge of perming and a facility for creating formal looks and upstyles. Assiduous with his networking skills, he ensures that he keeps up to date with the latest fashion trends, both local glitterati and international glamour, which serves him well in his interest in wedding styles and formal hair. Amiable and skilful in equal measure, he is a valuable asset to the salon.

LOUISE: assistant

Turning into her 3rd & final year in her hairdressing apprenticeship, Louise’s effervescent personality and natural good spirits will stand her in good stead in an industry that values communication as an essential skill. It is easy to recognise her cutting talents and we look forward to developing her skills to become a fully-fledged stylist in the salon.

PAMELA: on maternity leave until 2012

With highly developed core skills in colouring, cutting and blowdrying, Pamela is adept at bringing a hairstyle to a new level and tailoring a cut expertly to suit individual styling, a knowledge base built up over nine years in Hairdressing. Having qualifications in Makeup Artistry allows her to bring to bear an understanding of the finer points of fashion styling and a sensitivity to mode and structure that gives a boldness and contemporary edge to all her clients. Having managed a salon before and worked with major stylists in the Matrix Hair Shows, Pamela has extensive experience getting the best results for her clients.

VINA: senior stylist

With a strong interest in Fashion as well as an aptitude for long-hair dressing, Vina has finished her level 3 hairdressing and on completion of her in-house training will be a keen and valued addition to the salon team as a stylist. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and her dedication to learning the nuances of the industry will serve her well in the transition to becoming a fully-fledged stylist.

PETRA: senior stylist

This UK-trained stylist shows a developed ability to respond thoughtfully and creatively to a challenge, tapping into clients' lust for something new and different and is always willing to go the extra mile for her clients to ensure they leave the salon happy and thrilled with their hair. She is painstaking in the details and demands of her role, and brings calm and consideration to all aspects of her job at Miller & Green. With a decided interest in fashion and especially in upstyles, Petra combines her responsive personality with an aspiring and confident nature to great effect in the salon.

JESS: assistant

Jess is in her 3rd year apprenticeship and shows a keen interest for high fashion hairstyles, photo shoots and glamour in general. Her perfectionism is complemented by her friendly approach and general enthusiasm. If her consistently excellent TAFE results are anything to go by she will make a skilful and promising stylist on promotion to the salon floor.
